Habits

What is a Habit?

A habit is defined as a routine of behavior that is repeated regularly and tends to occur subconsciously i.e. without us thinking about it. It is for this reason people can find it very hard to just stop a habit as they often don't catch themselves doing it until it's too late!

Of course not all habits are an issue for us. For example, cleaning your teeth twice a day is a helpful and useful behaviour. A bad habit is one that is unhelpful, causing us harm, is unhealthy or unsociable.

Hypnotherapy has long been used to help people overcome and stop bad habits. In the relaxed state of hypnosis your subconscious is much more open to change and new more helpful habits can be introduced to replace the unwanted one.

The typical habits I help people break include:-

Smoking

Nail Biting

Skin Picking

Tricoltillimania (hair pulling)

Binge Eating

Eating Sugar

Emotional Shopping

Using Facebook
